Last year, the 48-year-old golfer suffered an injury during the third round of the 2023 Masters, citing plantar fasciitis, leading to surgery on his ankle. Despite this setback, Woods made appearances at the Hero World Challenge and PNC Championship last fall. His first tour start post-surgery was at The Genesis Invitational last month, where he opened with a 1-over 72 but withdrew during the second round. Notably, the 2023 Masters was his sole PGA tournament last year, following his participation in the Masters, PGA Championship, and Open Championship in 2022, according to the Bleacher Report.
