Dixon attempted to downplay the revelation, suggesting that Faxon hadn’t divulged specific details. McIlroy, maintaining his composure, responded, “No, I know, I know. But we spend a lot of time on planes and I spend a lot of time thinking about my game in the air. Sometimes things come to me.”

Despite the unexpected on-air confrontation, McIlroy remained focused on the task ahead.
