REIGNING CHAMPION RAHM LEADS FIELD OF MASTERS WINNERS INTO LIV GOLF MIAMI
LIV Golf Miami is gearing up to showcase some of golf’s biggest stars as they take on the challenging Blue Monster at Trump National Doral from April 5-7. Among the notable names set to compete are defending Masters champion Jon Rahm and six other past winners, offering fans a preview of the year’s first major.
The tournament will feature 13 LIV Golf players who are scheduled to compete at Augusta National the following week, including iconic past champions such as Phil Mickelson, Charl Schwartzel, Bubba Watson, Sergio Garcia, Patrick Reed, and Dustin Johnson. Additionally, standout players like Joaquin Niemann, Brooks Koepka, Cameron Smith, Bryson DeChambeau, Tyrrell Hatton, and Adrian Meronk will vie for victory alongside them.
The field at Doral boasts an impressive lineup, including four of the top six finishers from the previous year’s Masters, adding to the anticipation. Rahm, in particular, has been in exceptional form in his debut season with LIV Golf, currently sitting second in the individual standings behind Niemann.
Niemann himself is looking forward to the challenge presented by the Blue Monster, praising its demanding layout that tests every aspect of a player’s game.
Trump National Doral’s reputation as a top-tier golf course is echoed by Johnson, who sees it as excellent preparation for the Masters due to its toughness and variety of challenges.
In the team standings, Crushers GC leads the pack, followed closely by Torque GC, Smash GC, Legion XIII, and Stinger GC. Returning to Doral, the Crushers aim to replicate their previous success at the venue.
As excitement builds for the star-studded event in Miami, LIV Golf is giving its members a chance to have a say in the action by allowing them to vote on player groupings for Round One. Fans can sign up for free to participate and select their preferred trio of Masters champions to play together on April 5.
