Elin Nordegren Finds Fulfillment in a Large Family with Jordan Cameron
Elin Nordegren, best known as the former wife of golf icon Tiger Woods, has transformed her life since their highly publicized split over a decade ago. The 44-year-old mental health counselor has rebuilt her life and is now embracing a dream she longed for: a bustling household filled with children.
When Nordegren’s marriage to Woods ended in 2009 amid his infidelity scandal, it was a devastating period for her. At that time, the couple’s two young children, Sam and Charlie, were just 10 months and 2 years old, respectively. The separation not only shattered their marriage but also impacted the future she had envisioned for her family.
Today, however, Nordegren is living out a different dream. She is now married to retired NFL tight end Jordan Cameron. The couple, who began their relationship in 2017, have built a large and loving blended family. Cameron brought a son, Tristan, into the relationship from a previous relationship. Nordegren’s two children with Woods, Sam and Charlie, are now teenagers, and together, the couple has three additional children: Zeta, Freya, and Arthur.
This expanded family has brought Nordegren the joy she always desired. According to a close friend, “Elin always wanted a big family and loved the idea of a house filled with kids. She has that now, living her sweetest dream.” The friend’s words reflect the satisfaction Nordegren has found in her current life, surrounded by the children she cherishes.
Earlier this week, Nordegren had a proud moment as she watched her son Charlie receive his state championship ring. Charlie’s North Palm Beach, Florida school won the Class 1A golf title, marking their fourth state championship win. Tiger Woods, Charlie’s father, was also present at the event, illustrating the amicable co-parenting relationship that exists between him and Nordegren. Despite the past difficulties, the two have managed to maintain a supportive and respectful relationship for the sake of their children.
Charlie Woods, now 15, has been actively pursuing a career in golf, following in his father’s footsteps. However, his recent attempt to qualify for the PGA Tour at the 2024 Cognizant Classic tournament did not meet with success. Nevertheless, Charlie’s achievements in the state championship reflect his dedication and talent in the sport.
Despite the complexities of their past, Nordegren and Woods have developed a positive co-parenting dynamic. A source close to the family shared with PEOPLE, “They’re friends now. Everything that happened in the past is in the past. They both decided to be adults and to do what was best for the kids. So they get along really well. Tiger says really great things about Elin. He never complains about her, ever. … The kids love them both.”
Nordegren’s journey from the heartbreak of her marriage’s end to the fulfillment of a large, loving family with Cameron exemplifies her resilience and ability to find happiness. Her current life, surrounded by her six children and a supportive partner, contrasts sharply with the challenges she faced during her marriage to Woods. This new chapter not only fulfills her long-held dream but also demonstrates her strength and capacity for creating a positive family environment.
