Breaking: Tiger Woods speaks after reuniting with ex-wife Elin Nordegren……
Charlie and his golf teammates celebrated their recent state golf championship victory in style. Among the attendees were Tiger Woods and his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, who reunited for their son Charlie’s momentous achievement. However, observers noted a hint of awkwardness between the former couple during the celebration.
The proud parents joined their 15-year-old son on Tuesday to commemorate his team’s triumph in the Class 1 A state golf championship. Charlie and his fellow players from the Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, Florida, were honored with medals and the coveted state championship rings.
Tiger, a 15-time major golf champion, couldn’t hide his joy as he posed alongside his talented son. In one snapshot, Tiger stood to the side while Elin beamed with pride next to Charlie, whose team secured the school’s fourth state title back in November.
Tiger and Elin, who tied the knot in 2004 and share two children, Charlie and 16-year-old daughter Sam, have come a long way since their divorce in 2009 following Tiger’s well-publicized cheating scandal. Despite their past, they have remained supportive co-parents, especially when it comes to their children’s achievements.
In recent years, Tiger and Charlie have forged a close bond, often seen together at various golf events. They’ve even competed together at the PNC Championship, formerly known as the Father/Son Challenge, sporting matching outfits. Notably, Charlie has adopted many of his father’s mannerisms on the golf course, from the way he holds the club to how he removes his glove.
While Elin served as Charlie’s caddie at the state championships last winter, Tiger has also taken on the role of caddie at his son’s junior tournaments. However, Charlie humorously remarked that his dad’s reads tend to be biased towards a hook, causing him to miss putts to the right and requiring him to adjust accordingly.
Reflecting on the experience, Tiger expressed his joy at having both his children actively involved in the game of golf. He cherished the opportunity to share such moments with them, noting that their playful banter and shared love for the sport made the tournament even more special.
