Oleksandr Usyk makes promise to Tyson Fury ahead of next fight
Oleksandr Usyk has dismissed Tyson Fury’s claims that their first fight was too easy, labeling them as nonsensical. The Ukrainian boxer, who became the first four-belt undisputed heavyweight champion in May by defeating Fury via split decision, believes that Fury’s assertions are unfounded.
In a recent interview with Sky, Usyk responded to Fury’s claims, saying, “Oh my god, no way! Okay, no problem. The next fight will be easy [for him too].” However, Usyk then emphasized that he is under no illusions about the difficulty of their upcoming rematch, scheduled for December 21 in Saudi Arabia.
“For me, my fight will be hard because Tyson Fury is a big man, a good boxer, with a good boxing IQ,” Usyk acknowledged. “But if Tyson says for him it will be easy, ok, no problem. I see for Tyson Fury, I see for the eyes of Tyson Fury, it’s not easy. It will be hard, very, very hard.”
Usyk’s comments suggest that he is confident in his abilities and is not intimidated by Fury’s claims. In fact, he seems to be relishing the opportunity to face Fury again, promising, “Tyson, don’t be afraid – I will not leave you alone.”
The rematch between Usyk and Fury is highly anticipated, with many boxing fans eager to see if Usyk can replicate his success from their first encounter.
