Introducing The Bay Golf Club’s Newest Ace: Ludvig Åberg

At just 24 years old, Åberg has already solidified his place among the golfing elite, currently sitting at an impressive No. 6 in the Official World Golf Ranking. His meteoric rise began in June when he turned professional, and he quickly made waves by clinching his first PGA Tour victory at the RSM Classic in November. Notably, his breathtaking performance included back-to-back rounds of 61 over the weekend, finishing a staggering 29-under-par. Additionally, Åberg showcased his prowess on the grand stage by securing a runner-up spot at the Masters, trailing only behind Scottie Scheffler by a mere four strokes.

Hailing from Sweden, Åberg recently made the move to Tallahassee, where he now resides alongside his close friend and former Florida State golfer, Vince Norrman. The team’s ownership, led by former Milwaukee Bucks owner Marc Lasry, boasts a star-studded lineup that includes basketball icons Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Andre Iguodala.

Lasry expressed his enthusiasm for TGL’s upcoming inaugural season, slated to commence on January 7, 2025, with a prime-time debut on ESPN. The league promises to captivate audiences with its high-stakes competition, set against the picturesque backdrop of Palm Beach Gardens, located on the campus of Palm Beach State College.
