Tiger Woods was locked in a battle to extend his record streak of making 24 consecutive cuts at the Masters, facing another challenging day at Augusta National.

Following a prolonged weather delay on Thursday, Woods was among 27 players who couldn’t finish their first rounds, but he managed to complete 13 holes, sitting at one under par.

Resuming play on Friday morning, Woods stumbled with a bogey on the 14th hole due to a mishap with his chip shot. However, he recovered with a par on the 15th after another tricky approach.

Despite leaving birdie opportunities short on the 16th and 17th, Woods couldn’t avoid dropping a shot on the last hole, failing to save par from a bunker.

Finishing his first round with a 73, Woods had a brief turnaround of just 49 minutes before starting his second round, where he began with two pars and a birdie.

However, inconsistency haunted Woods as he bogeyed the fourth hole and dropped another shot on the fifth, but he redeemed himself with a spectacular chip-in birdie on the sixth.

His round continued with a bogey on the seventh and a birdie on the eighth, followed by a rare par on the ninth. Despite the ups and downs, Woods managed to stay inside the projected cut line at one over par.

Meanwhile, his playing partner Max Homa surged into the lead after a strong start to his second round, capitalizing on an early stumble from Bryson DeChambeau.

Former champion Jordan Spieth faced a challenging day, highlighted by a quadruple-bogey nine on the 15th hole, putting him at risk of missing the cut.

Similarly, Open champion Brian Harman struggled, dropping seven shots in the last three holes of his opening round, leaving him with an 81.
