From facing the formidable fists of the ‘Bronze Bomber’ Deontay Wilder (43-3-1, 42 KOs) to former UFC legend Francis Ngannou’s (0-2) raw power, Fury has weathered it all. In a recent interview with Charlie Parsons of The Stomping Ground, Fury reflected on his past encounters with Ngannou and Wilder, particularly addressing which opponent hit him the hardest.
“Deontay, without a doubt,” Fury asserted. “Ngannou packs a punch, but I never felt truly threatened by his shots. It wasn’t as though every time he connected, I was rocked. Just one blow to the back of the head, and that was it. Wilder remains the most powerful puncher I’ve ever faced, by a significant margin.”
Wilder and Fury have shared the ring thrice, with their initial bout ending in a draw and Fury claiming victory in their subsequent two meetings in 2018, 2020, and 2021, respectively.
