Tiger Woods retreats to £15m super yacht after Masters with onboard elevator and huge gym

After an intense four-day grind at Augusta National, golf legend Tiger Woods now has the luxurious option of retreating to his £15m super yacht for some much-needed rest and recovery.

Despite a commendable display at the Masters, where he extended his streak of making the cut and set a new record with 24 consecutive cuts to the weekend play, Woods faced challenges with the course conditions and his physical condition, resulting in a decline over Saturday and Sunday, culminating in a final scorecard of 16-over-par.

Fortunately, Woods is the proud owner of a luxury £15m super yacht, providing him with a haven for downtime and the opportunity to focus on his sporting fitness and rehabilitation.

Having amassed a considerable fortune throughout his illustrious career, Woods invested in this impressive vessel, which he affectionately joked about calling his “dinghy,” although it’s anything but. Measuring 155ft and boasting 6,500 sq ft of space, the yacht features five state rooms accommodating ten guests, along with four cabins for nine crew members and additional storage and maintenance areas.

Central to Woods’ yacht is a fully-equipped gym outfitted with cutting-edge fitness equipment, crucial for his training regimen. Additionally, the vessel includes a three-person elevator for easy access between floors, a spacious eight-person Jacuzzi on the top deck, and a bar for entertaining guests.

Maintaining such a remarkable vessel comes at a cost, with an estimated £1.5m per year required to keep it operational. Equipped with a scuba station and external storage for jet skis, ocean kayaks, and Vespa scooters, the yacht offers both luxury and recreation.

While Woods continues to pursue his passion for professional golf and remains steadfast in his belief that he has one final major win within him, opinions vary. His former rival, Colin Montgomerie, expressed sadness that Woods did not retire after the 2022 Open Championship at St Andrews Old Course.

Reflecting on Woods’ recent performances, Montgomerie remarked, “He’s competing once a month, and it’s not enough. You can’t play once a month and hope to contend with these guys now.” Despite Montgomerie’s sentiments, Woods remains determined to prove his capabilities on the course, while enjoying the comforts of his remarkable super yacht.
