Tiger Woods Debuts New Caddie Lance Bennett
When Tiger Woods parted ways with his longtime caddie Joe LaCava last year, speculation swirled about his replacement. Woods and LaCava enjoyed success together, with 11 wins, including the 2019 Masters. LaCava moved on to work with Patrick Cantlay.
Returning to competitive play at the 2023 Hero World Challenge after surgery, Woods relied on friend Rob McNamara. However, for the Genesis Invitational, he enlisted Lance Bennett, a seasoned caddie with experience on the Tour since 2003.
“Lance and I have a great relationship,” Woods expressed. “We share similar perspectives on the game and have worked well together in the past.”
Despite an initial setback at the Genesis, where Woods withdrew due to illness, he appeared healthy and optimistic for his next outing at Augusta National. Golf fans are hopeful for a more fruitful partnership between Woods and Bennett going forward.
