The Pro Football Hall of Fame has revealed its 15 modern-era finalists for the prestigious 2024 class
Notably, two former Green Bay Packers, Julius Peppers and Jahri Evans, are among the contenders. Peppers, a dominant defensive end, is in his first year of eligibility, having accumulated an impressive career with 159.5 sacks. On the other hand, Evans, a durable guard, is a first-time finalist in his second year of eligibility, having played 183 career regular-season games.
The selection process involves narrowing down the list to five modern-era players who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, next summer. The final announcement is scheduled for February 8th during the NFL Honors awards show. This recognition underscores Peppers’ remarkable achievements, including being the only player in NFL history with over 100 sacks and 10 or more interceptions. Meanwhile, Evans, a six-time Pro Bowler, played a pivotal role in the New Orleans Saints’ success, contributing to their NFC South Division title and earning a spot on the PFWA’s All-Rookie Team in 2006.
As football enthusiasts await the induction results, the competition is fierce, with other notable finalists such as DE Jared Allen, TE Antonio Gates, and WR Reggie Wayne in contention. The final five inductees will be determined, shaping the legacy of the 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame class.
