PGA Tour regular season may be over, but plenty of golf in 2024 remains; here’s full schedule

The 2024 PGA Tour regular season has concluded with Scottie Scheffler’s dominant victory at the Tour Championship. However, the golfing calendar for the remainder of the year remains rich with action across multiple tours.

 

While the PGA Tour’s regular season has wrapped up, the final months of 2024 will feature eight more tournaments as part of its Fall series. This series provides an opportunity for players who did not secure a spot in the top 50 of the FedEx Cup standings to compete and improve their rankings for the 2025 season. Additionally, players ranked between 51st and 60th will gain entry into the first two Signature Events of the upcoming season, which could be pivotal for those seeking to solidify their place in the sport.

 

In addition to the PGA Tour’s Fall series, the spotlight will be on several high-profile events across other tours. The Presidents Cup is set to make a return to Royal Montreal Golf Club, a venue that last hosted the event in 2007. The American team, led by standout players like Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, and Collin Morikawa, will face off against a formidable International team featuring Hideki Matsuyama, Sungjae Im, and Adam Scott. This competition promises to be intense, with the U.S. team seeking to maintain their dominance, as they have not been defeated by the Internationals since 1998. Jim Furyk, a former U.S. Open champion, will captain the American team, while Mike Weir, the 2003 Masters Champion from Canada, will lead the International team on home soil.

 

Before the Presidents Cup, golf fans will turn their attention to the Solheim Cup, which will be held two weeks earlier in Northern Virginia at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. The European team, who narrowly defeated the Americans in Andalucía last year with the help of Carlota Ciganda, will be looking to defend their title. For Team USA, this event is particularly significant as it marks Lexi Thompson’s final appearance in the Solheim Cup before she retires from full-time play at the end of the season.
