Following The Masters, a PGA Tour champion has stunned by accusing Tiger Woods.

Former PGA Tour pro Mark Lye has stirred controversy by alleging that Tiger Woods may have used steroids during his illustrious career. Lye, who won his sole PGA Tour title in 1983, made the assertion during an appearance on the ‘Don’t @ Me with Dan Dakich’ show, just a day after Woods finished last among those who made the cut at The Masters.

Speaking candidly, Lye suggested that a significant majority of people within the golfing community suspect something “ain’t right” regarding Woods and potential steroid use. He claimed that individuals close to Woods have warned against discussing the topic, implying a culture of secrecy around the issue.

While rumors about Woods using performance-enhancing drugs have circulated for years, Lye’s comments have reignited the debate. In the past, golf legend Gary Player mentioned that numerous golfers worldwide were using performance-enhancing drugs, although he did not specifically name Woods.

The PGA Tour maintains a strict anti-doping program, which includes a list of banned substances that includes various steroids. However, there has been no concrete evidence or official accusation of Woods using such substances.

When pressed by Dakich about Woods’s alleged steroid use, Lye did not shy away from his assertion, claiming that the majority of people in the golfing community share his sentiment.

However, realizing the sensitive nature of his comments, Lye swiftly changed the subject to discuss Scottie Scheffler’s victory at The Masters. Dakich, the host, also expressed his admiration for Woods as a fan but suggested that Woods’s recent performance indicates that he may be past his prime.

Woods, a five-time Masters champion, set a record for the most cuts made at The Masters but struggled with his game, recording his worst-ever score at the tournament and finishing in last place among those who made the cut.

Lye, who retired from professional golf before Woods’s rise to fame, has had a career in broadcasting. However, he faced controversy in 2022 when he was fired from his co-hosting position after making disparaging remarks about women’s sports.
