Charlie Woods had a challenging start to his American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) debut at the Will Lowery Junior Championship last weekend.
Finishing in a three-way tie for 32nd place with Jack Michael and Spencer Mills, Woods shot 21-over-par, while the event’s winner, Patmon Malcom, finished at an impressive -7.
Over three rounds at the Carolina Trace Country Club in Sanford, North Carolina, Woods posted scores of 78, 81, and 78.
Making his AJGA debut on a sponsor’s exemption, Charlie had support from his father, Tiger Woods, who was spotted at the event, according to reports.
In other news, Tiger Woods and his ex-wife Elin Nordegren recently attended a ceremony honoring the Benjamin School golf team. The team, which includes their son Charlie, received state championship rings, as reported by Golfweek.
