Breaking: Charlie Woods joined his father, Tiger Woods, on the driving range at the Masters on Sunday.
Tiger Woods received a helping hand on the Augusta National driving range Sunday morning, as his 15-year-old son Charlie joined him. As Woods geared up for his final round, Charlie stood alongside Woods’ caddie Lance Bennett, engaging in conversation with his father and assisting him with drills.
Throughout this year’s Masters, Charlie has been by his father’s side, but this was the first time he was spotted inside the practice grounds. Woods had previously mentioned that he hadn’t played Augusta National with Charlie in a couple of years and expressed his desire to do so during his pre-tournament press conference.
“I would like to, obviously, play a little bit more up here with him and to share the experiences,” Woods had said. “Especially now that he’s got a little bit longer so he hits it past me. So I think that the days of playing from the members tees are over. He’s got to come back there with us.”
The poignant moment of Woods winning the Masters in 2019, followed by an emotional hug with Charlie as they walked off the 18th green, remains vivid. Sunday’s scene added another special memory for Woods and his son to cherish on the Augusta National grounds.
