“Best dinner date,” Balionis captioned the post, radiating birthday bliss. Earlier in the day, she couldn’t contain her excitement about meeting “legendary” journalist Lesley Stahl at the Travelers Championship Women’s Day breakfast.
“It took my 38th birthday for two iconic things to happen,” Balionis wrote on Instagram. “1. I had the honor of meeting and picking the brain of the legendary Lesley Stahl. She is everything. 2. I finally accomplished the thing Cosmo prepared us for every day of our lives as teens: successfully turning a top from day to night.”
While Balionis relished these moments, Rory McIlroy was notably absent from TPC River Highlands on her milestone day. The Northern Irish golfer announced a brief hiatus from the sport following his heart-wrenching defeat at the US Open against Bryson DeChambeau, choosing to spend time with his family instead.
Rumours had previously swirled about McIlroy’s private life, especially during a period when he and his wife, Erica Stoll, had temporarily parted ways.
